Wicca is...
|
Wicca is an earth-based religion. It is a religion full of love and caring. Wiccans follow the Wiccan Rede. The basic gist of the rede is ‘an it harm none do as ye wilt’. Wiccans also believe in the three fold law. That is that everything you do comes back to you three times, weather it is good or bad.
Wiccans believe in the goddess and the god. They recognize both male
and female aspects of diety. Wiccans use magick. Magick is spelled with a k to distinguish it from stage
magic that illusionists perform. Magick is the use of energy to make something happen. Because wicca is earth-based, we celebrate the changing of the seasons. These holidays are known as
sabbats. There are eight Sabbats in all. Samhian, Yule, Imbolc,
Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, and Maborn (click here to learn more about the Sabbats). Wiccans also time their magick with the cycles of the moon.

Wicca is not...
|
Wicca is not evil. We do not worship Satan.
We do not even believe in the existance of Satan. We do not make sacrifices of children cats or any other living beings, as we love nature and all life. Wiccans do not want to convert you (we believe that everyone has a path that is right for them). Wiccans do not practice black magick since we follow the rede “an it harm none do as ye wilt”.
